John Coté has been representing Buyers and Sellers in Rancho Santa Fe and Coastal San Diego County since 1989. The hallmark of John’s real estate services has been his ethics, seasoned negotiating skills and expert knowledge of the real estate contract. Above all, it is John’s mission to provide his clients, whether Buyers or Sellers, with the highest level of integrity and personal service available in the industry.
A trend in the industry has been for busy agents to use what are called third party escrow assistants to collect forms and follow the escrow once a transaction has been ratified. John believes that once the escrow begins that’s where his expertise is needed the most. Timelines, important disclosures, the deposit of monies and holding parties to account within the framework of the contract are of paramount importance. For that reason, John supervises every aspect of the deal from marketing to negotiation, through the escrow process so that all important elements of the transaction are concluded properly until close of escrow. John understands the fiduciary relationship between a client and a licensed California real estate broker.
Because of John’s diligence, expert knowledge and fairness, many of his clients have bought and sold many properties using his services exclusively over the span of 24 years. In all that time John has never had a complaint with either the local Real Estate Board or the CA Department of Real Estate. John’s goal is to serve each client with the same high standard of care whether they are buying or selling a $200,000 condo or a $5,000,000 horse ranch.
John supports the Fisher House Foundation; Champion for Military Families. Fisher House provides a home away from home for military families to stay in comfort while a loved one recovers from treatment, surgery or rehabilitation. Having family near after suffering a battlefield amputation is crucial in a soldier’s recovery.
In 2010 John walked across the United States, from Camp Pendleton to Fort Benning, Georgia on behalf of the Fisher House Foundation. He continues to raise awareness about veteran’s issues and especially for the cause of our wounded warriors and their families.
